Loan Categories are not mutually exclusive, for example a loan can be minority-owned and woman-owned and located in a distressed census tract.
Over 70% of the loans in which the SBA Loan Fund has invested are located in low- and moderate-income communities and all these loans were made to businesses that did not have access to conventional commercial debt. By providing this much needed capital to these under-served small businesses, SBA Loan Fund investors are making a positive difference in neighborhoods nationwide.
At Solomon Hess we continually strive to achieve excellence in providing investors with targeted, impactful community development investments. We are pleased to share that the SBA Loan Fund became one of the first investment funds to undergo an Impact Management Assessment Certification by Aeris in 2018. This certification provides third-party verification that the Fund’s impact practices are aligned with its stated impact mission. A copy of the assessment is available here.
